If you’re a PR company or other business or organisation thinking of contacting me or adding me to your press release mailing list, here’s an idea of what I’m interested in at the moment:

‘Freakonomics’ type stories that illustrate current economic or consumer trends in Ireland.

‘Green’ business: Renewable energy, companies becoming carbon neutral, interesting environmental initiatives and any other business stories with an environmental aspect and a strong Irish angle.

Cutting edge developments in science and technology. News and developments from research in universities around Ireland and Science Foundation Ireland.

Ideally, the story needs to:

- have potential to commercialise the technology, technique or product and/or:

- be applicable for environmental, medical, commercial or pharmaceutical purposes.

‘Day in the Life’ features:

These involve spending a day at some of Ireland’s leading companies. These articles convey the atmosphere and working environment, and I speak to a cross-section of people there, from CEOs and managers to cleaners and cafeteria workers.

Together with colour photos, the end result is a 1,200 - 1,400 word feature that gives the reader a picture of a ‘day in the life’ of the business or organisation.
